The Danish Father/Son-composers have now reached vol 4 with the piano concertos by Siegfried and Rued Langgaard, - a first ever performance and recording! Liszt found the concerto by Siegfried Langgaard towering and deeply interesting and the concerto by his son Rued is as original as only this composer could be (and technically only for the biggest virtuosos). Oleg Marshev is the man for this job and his musicality and secure fingerwork makes this recording one of the highlights of this year.
