Price: Sek. 300 | Lazar Berman was one of the finest pianists of the second half of the 20th century, as well as one of the greatest Liszt interpreters of all times. Leningrad-born Berman had an oftenmuscular approach to the piano, and a huge, thunderous technique that made him a fine representative of the grand school of Russian Romantic pianism. Berman spoke of having learned to ”sing” on the piano through listening to recordings of the great Italian lyric tenors, primarily Caruso and Gobbi. |
