This recording is new to Compact Disc and features the Choir of Guildford Cathedral in one of its most musical and best-remembered periods. The works performed on this disc seems to compliment the architectural atmosphere of the Cathedral itself, particularly as the building is very much a 20th Century creation. Being completed in 1961, it is the first Anglican Cathedral to be constructed on a new site in the South of England since the reformation. |
