Disc No: MFCD 006 | Featured in The New York Times as "Two pianos, four hands but one heart", Pianists Per Tengstrand and Shan-shan Sun are gaining in reputation both as solo pianists and as a duo-piano team. The debut performance of the Tengstrand-Sun Piano Duo took place on October 12, 2003 when they performed Mozart’s Two Piano Concerto with the Canton (Ohio) Symphony under Music Director, Gerhardt Zimmermann. While preparing this work, Tengstrand and Sun found how much they enjoyed playing together in two-piano and four-hand repertoire and the more they looked into the literature, it became quite obvious this was a path on which they wanted to move forward. |
