Price: Sek. 160 | An outstanding recital from the soprano Merlyn Quaife with pianist Michael Kieran Harvey. Both are based in Melbourne, and hence this project has a distinct flavour: it is a joint project with the Centre for Australian Studies in Music, based at Melbourne University, and the music was recorded in the ABC's Melbourne studio, Iwaki Hall. All of the composers have Melbourne connections. Apart from Grainger, all based themselves in Melbourne. The Grainger Museum is on the Melbourne University campus, Grainger's hometown. |
