Lucien Posman is a real figure in Belgium. One meeting is enough to understand that this teacher for composition of the Royal Conservatory of Ghent is not "anyone". His experience of music theory, of organization, of teaching, of singing in choirs, but also his culture, humor, curiosity and lucidity sparkle in his eyes, encircled by thick dark glasses. His music, cruel or lively, is based on a ground knowledge which can afford the supreme luxe of simplicity without falling in its traps. Many works by Posman are based on Blake poems. Here is a first access to this fascinating - and fascinated - world, with the very talented Goeyvaerts Consort, one of the best European choirs specialized in the contemporary repertoire. So, even if it is difficult for a composer to break the barriers of notoriety, here is a welcome discovery. By Cypres.
