Disc No: 8.224048 Louis Glass was one og the most important composers of the Late Romantic period in Denmark. He was a contemporary of Carl Nielsen, but there is a certain contrast between their style due to the influence of César Franck and Anton Bruckner on Glass. His string quartets bear the marks of this influence and as such are broadly conceived chamber music works rich in sonority.
