A stunning selection of Anthems and Motets from the Tudor Times - featuring some of the Period’s most prestigious composer’s of such Music. The disc features a piece titled Call to Remembrance, here by Richard Farrant. This must have been one of the most popular Anthems of this era judging by the number of Manuscripts that contain it. There are two exuberant versions of Hosanna to the Son of David by Thomas Weelkes and Orlando Gibbons and a splendid version of Ave verum Corpus by William Byrd.
